Welcome to Ethos!

The Ethos Academy (Year 1) is designed for students who have never played a string instrument before.  At Ethos, we pride ourselves on shepherding students from the first time they hold an instrument (Academy 1) through college auditions (Ethos Youth Orchestras).

• • • REQUIRED Beginner Kick Off Camp – Saturday, August 26, 2023.  10am-2pm.
      • • Complete Registration/Tuition Form (see below) before attending
        • Try all the instruments!
        • Music Games and Fun!
        • Bring Sack Lunch and Drink to Camp
        • Parents should plan on attending a meeting from 10-10:15pm, then leave students at the church for classes and games.  Parents should return for instrument fittings, which  will begin at 2pm and can last 45-90 minutes.
        • Bring valid Credit Card to Kickoff Camp (instrument rental with Nashville Violins is in addition to Ethos tuition)
        • Instruments will be delivered at first rehearsal on Monday, September 11.
    • Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 5-5:45-pm at First United Methodist Church (FUMC) – 265 W. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.  First Rehearsal is Monday, September 11, 2023.
    • Bring Folding Music Stand  and Method Book (purchased at Beginner Kick-Off) to each rehearsal.
    • Concerts (at FUMC) are:
      • • Monday, December 11, 2023.  5pm Call.  6pm Concert.
        • Saturday, April 27, 2024.  9am Call.  10am Concert.
