Audition Requirements
Candidates should be comfortable in all registers of their instrument(s) and have advanced control of intonation and tone quality. Familiarity with all major scales is required. Candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of the inner pulse (internal metronome) in their playing.
- Please prepare the same Mid-State audition excerpt for your instrument/grade level.
- You will be asked the same scales as Mid-State for your grade level and instrument.
- All students will be asked to sight-read 1 to 3 selections. These will be provided at the audition.
